Recently two new studies reveal how certain bacteria can form a chain reaction that can lead to the emergence of colon cancer. Bacteria called fusobacteria can cause excessive immune response and turn genes on the growth of cancer cells.

Fusobacteria
This is one of the strains of bacteria in the mouth that often cause
gum disease, but may actually be resisted by diligent toothbrush or
dental hygiene.In
the first study, fusobacteria is associated with colorectal cancer
(colon and rectum), although it is not known whether the bacteria are
associated with tumor growth or not.
The
study, conducted by a team of researchers from the Harvard Medical
School, fusobacteria proven emerged with high levels in the adenoma or
benign tumor in the intestines and can sometimes turn into cancer. After
conducting experiments on mice, researchers were able to prove that
fusobacteria accelerates colorectal tumor formation by attracting a
number of special immune cells that can attack and turn on the
inflammatory response, which can lead to cancer. Then
in a second study conducted by a team of researchers from Case Western
Reserve University fusobacteria seen that on the surface there is a
molecule that allows them to attach to cells of human colorectal cancer.
Molecule
called Fada it can turn on cancer genes and stimulates the growth of an
inflammatory response that can drive tumor formation. The
team of researchers from Case Western also ensure if Fada levels seen
10 to 100 times higher in the tissues of patients with colorectal
adenoma and cancer than healthy people.'We
have proved that Fada is an indicator that can be used for early
detection of colorectal cancer, including in identifying potential
therapeutic targets for treating or preventing the deadly disease that
attacks many people are, "said Prof. Yiping Han from Case Western as
reported by the BBC, Friday (08/16/2013).Luckily, a synthetic compound that can inhibit performance Fada also been found by the team of Prof.. Han and may prevent fusobacteria encourage the growth of colorectal cancer cells
